Eu ADORO etiquetas! Estranho? Talvez, mas verdade! Gosto de as fazer, gosto de olhar para elas e gosto que identifiquem o que tenho em cada sítio.

Se não achasse que ficava demasiado esquisito, etiquetava a casa toda! Ahh que maravilha, olhar para um armário e saber logo tudo o que está la dentro…

Até porque eu sou um bocadinho esquecida, para além do que mudo a organização das coisas com alguma regularidade e depois, invariavelmente, não me consigo lembrar da última localização daquilo que estava mesmo a precisar no momento…

Não podendo etiquetar tudo (ainda me punham na casa dos maluquinhos ;) ) etiquetei algumas gavetas, caixas e pastas do espaço de trabalho do nosso quarto! Que prazer!

Agora vou ver se me contenho e não etiqueto mesmo a casa toda…

Acho que vou fazer listas… Listas também é bom! :)

I LOVE labels! Weird? Perhaps, but true! I like to make them, I like to look at them and I like that they identify what I have in each location.

If I didn’t think it would be too weird, I would label the whole house! Ahh what a wonder, looking at a closet and just know everything that's in it...

Especially because I'm a little bit forgetful, and apart from that, I change the organization of things on a regular basis and then, invariably, I can’t remember the last location of the thing I really need at the moment...

Not being able to label all (or I’ll be put in the loony house ;) ), I labelled a few drawers, boxes and folders in the workspace in our bed room! What a pleasure!

Now, I'll see if I can refrain and not label the remaining of the house...

I think I'll make lists... Lists are also great! :)

Arrumação de fitas | Ribbons’ storage

Tenho carradas de fitas! Compradas, herdadas, recuperadas… Utilizo-as com vários fins: para decorar, em pequenos crafts, em peluches, para dar outro aspeto a algumas roupas… E até só para olhar para elas, porque são bonitas, pronto!

Mas é necessário organizá-las, senão, acabo com caixas a transbordar e que não se tornam de todo práticas.

Ora o que é que eu faço?

Reutilizo outra coisa que acaba sempre por chegar cá a casa: marcadores de livros de cartão.

Há um número finito de marcadores de livros necessário! Mas é daquelas coisas que estão sempre a aparecer, principalmente quando se faz compras em feiras do livro…

Assim, dou-lhe outro uso: utilizo-as para enrolar as minhas fitas e tê-las sempre bonitas e à mão. É fácil vasculhar pelas opções e escolher aquela que preciso. E fica bonito e eu gosto, pronto!

I have boatloads of ribbons! Some bought, some inherited, some recovered... I use them with several purposes: to decorate in small crafts, in softies, to cute up an outfit... and even just to look at them because they’re beautiful, there, I’ve said it!

But it’s necessary to organize them, or else I’ll end up with overflowing boxes with tangled ribbons that are not practical at all!

Now, what do I do?

I reuse something else that I always end up with too many: card bookmarks.

There are a finite number of necessary bookmarks! But it's those things that are always appearing, especially when you shop at the book fair...

So, I give it another use: I use them to roll up my ribbons and have them always beautiful and handy. It's easy to sift through the options and choose the one I need. And it’s beautiful and I like it, ok?!

T-shirts Star Wars para o papá e para o bebé | DIY macthing StarWars t-shirts for daddy and baby

Tal como eu, o homem cá da casa também não liga muito ao seu aniversário. Mas isso não quer dizer que não goste de presentes! ;)

Assim teve direito a um pedido e quis um novo jogo de tabuleiro – 7 Wonders! Que é giríssimo e ele adorou, mas não deixa de ser uma prenda para os dois.

Por isso, teve também direito a uma prenda surpresa – T-shirts Star Wars. Uma para ele e outra para o Afonso! Vão ficar o máximo um ao lado do outro!

Utilizei t-shirts de manga comprida cinzentas simples, da Decathlon.

Like me, the man of the house doesn’t care much about his birthday. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like gifts! ;)

So he was entitled to a gift request and chose a new board game - 7 Wonders! It’s a great game and he loved it, but it's still a gift for both of us.

Therefore, the hubby was also was entitled to a surprise gift - Star Wars T-shirts! One for him and one for Afonso! They’ll be so cute next to each other!

I used long sleeve plain grey T-shirts, that I bought at Decathlon.

Escolhi o texto e copiei para freezer paper. Este papel é uma espécie de papel vegetal, com um lado brilhante, que é usado nos EUA para congelar alimentos, mas também para crafts. Eu tenho um rolo que a minha mãe me trouxe de lá, mas também já vi em algumas casas de material de costura e artesanato, onde creio que vendam ao metro.

I chose the text and copied to freezer paper. This paper is a kind of tracing paper with a glossy side, which is used in the US to freeze food, but also for crafts. I have a roll that my mother brought me there, but I've seen it in some sewing and crafts material stores here in Portugal, where they sell it by the meter.

Depois de copiadas as letras, cortei com x-ato.

After copying the letters, I cut them out with an x-act.

Seguidamente, apliquei nas t-shirts. Para isso, coloca-se a parte brilhante virada para baixo (por isso atenção ao lado em que desenham) e passa-se o ferro por cima. Fica assim um stencil colado ao tecido.

Then I applied the freezer paper onto the t-shirts. For this, put the bright side down (so attention where you draw) and iron on top. You get a stencil attached to the fabric.

Depois, foi só colocar uma folha dentro das t-shirts (para não manchar o outro lado) e pintar com a cor escolhida.

Afterwards, I just put a sheet inside the t-shirts (so not to stain the other side) and painted them with the chosen color.

Deixar secar e retirar o freezer paper (sai muito facilmente).

I allow them to dry and removed the freezer paper (it comes out very easily).

O homem adorou e eu adorei ver o sorriso dele! :D

Agora tenho que ver se faço uma para mim, para ficarmos os três a combinar!...

The hubby loved it and I loved watching his smile! :D

Now I should make one for myself, so the three of us can match!...
