Yeaahhhh! Star Wars - O despertar da força, é hoje!

Nem abri o 9Gag e fui ao facebook com muito cuidadinho! Até agora nada de spoilers! Mas pelo sim, pelo não, acho que vou desligar o computador o resto do dia, porque só vou ver o filme às 21:30.

É agridoce, no entanto! Estou há espera deste filme hácanos! Mas ainda nunca deixei o Afonso por mais de 20 minutos... O meu padawanzinho vai ficar com os avós esta noite para os pais irem namorar e geekar...

O pai está habituado a estar o dia todo fora, mas a mãe não...

Claro que fica muito bem com os avós. Claro que vou telefonar antes, durante e depois do jantar, no intervalo do filme, antes de virmos para casa... Ai, mas caramba, vai custar!

Yeahhhh! Star Wars - The Force Awakens is today!

I haven't open 9Gag and went to facebook very carefully! So far no spoilers! But just in case, I think I'll turn off the computer for the rest of the day, since I'm only going to see the movie at 21:30.

It's bittersweet, however! I've been waiting for this movie for ever! But I've never been away from Afonso for more then 20 minutes ... My little padawan will stay with his grandparents tonight so his parents can go dating and geeking...

Dad is used to being outside all day, but the mom is not...

Of course he will be fine with his grandparents. Of course I'll call before, during and after dinner, in the intermission of the film, before we came home... Oh, but damn, it will be hard!

Moldura R2D2 / R2D2 picture frame

Como já sabem, eu e o homem somos grandes fãs de Star Wars! Ora, tendo eu feito aquele desenhito para anunciar a gravidez, não podia deixar de lhe arranjar uma moldura apropriada! Mas sempre sem esbanjar dinheiro (que eu não gosto nada disso!).

Assim, comprei uma moldura simples (e baratinha) no IKEA (ai, como eu amo o IKEA, ainda vos hei de falar desta paixão noutro post).

Depois pensei, para a pintar, tem que ser de acordo com o tema do desenho (Star Wars, não gravidez…). Vai daí, lembrei-me logo do adorado R2. Pesquisei umas imagens para me inspirar e comecei a pintar livremente, sem grande esboço inicial.

As you know, me and the hubby are big fans of Star Wars! Now, as I made that drawing to announce him my pregnancy, it had to have a suitable frame! But always without wasting money (which I don’t like at all!).

So I bought a simple frame (and inexpensive) in IKEA (oh, how I love IKEA, I shall speak of this passion in another post).

Then I thought, it must be painted, but in accordance with the theme of the drawing (Star Wars, not pregnancy ...). Well there, I remembered the beloved R2. I researched some pictures to inspire me and began to paint freely without really making an initial draft.

Ficou assim. Algumas linhas um pouco tremidas (tenho que arranjar um pincel mais fino), mas gostei do resultado final. Há de fazer parte da decoração do quarto do bebé.

This is the final result. Some lines are a little shaky (I need to get a finer brush), but I like the end result. It will be part of the baby room decor.

E vocês, o que acham?

Eu adoro jogos de tabuleiro. Adoro, adoro, adoro! Felizmente não sou a única e entre o home, amigos e família, tenho muita gente disposta a passar tardes na jogatina!

Ou jogamos na mesa da sala ou da cozinha, ou na mesa de café, ou mesmo na cama ou no chão.

Agora eu tendo uma casa maior e dinheiro para estes luxos, comprava uma mesa especial para jogos de tabuleiro! As da Geek Chic são o máximo!

I love board games. Love, love, love it! Fortunately, I am not the only one and between the hubby, friends and family, I have a lot of people willing to spend afternoons playing with me!

We usually play on the living room or in the kitchen tables, or on the coffee table, or even in bed or on the floor.

Now, if I had a larger home and money for these luxuries, I would buy a special table for board games! The Geek Chic ones are rad!

Vejam-me bem isto! Espaço para guardar as peças, espaço para esconderes as tuas cartas/notas/etc., espaço para lançar os dados… Maravilhoso! Só o preço é que não é nada maravilhoso e por isso é que faz parte dos sonhos. Enfim, um dia…

Look at them! Space to store parts, space for hiding your cards/notes/etc., space to roll the dice... Wonderful! Only the price is not that wonderful (at least for me) and that’s why this is the stuff of dreams. One day…

Forma simples de arrumar Star Wars X-wing miniatures game / Star Wars X-wing miniatures game simple storage

Como podem já saber (se lerem a minha descrição), sou fã incondicional de jogos de tabuleiro! Um dos jogos que eu e o home gostamos mais é o Star Wars X-wings miniature game.

É uma perdição. Começámos com o jogo base, depois comprámos a Slave I do Bobba Fett. A minha mana ajudou-nos no Natal com mais algumas naves… Qualquer dia temos a frota completa.

O problema é que ficamos com uma data de caixas e não é prático quando queremos jogar estar a tirar tudo de cada caixa. Para além do espaço que ocupa.

As you may already know (if you've read my about me page), I am big fan of board games! One of the games that the hubby and I like best is the Star Wars X-wings miniature game.

We started with the base game, after that, we bought Boba Fett’s Slave I. My sisterina helped us at Christmas with a few more ships ... Any day now, we’ll have a full fleet. 

The problem is that we are left with a lot of boxes and isn’tconvenient when we want to play to get all the pieces of each box. In addition, those boxes really take a lot of space.

Assim, comprámos uma caixa de arrumação de ferragens, personalizável com caixinhas de tamanho diferente e organizámos todas as peças do jogo. Assim está tudo junto numa caixa e podemos levar com facilidade para qualquer lado!

Até já temos um espacinho pensado para quando conseguirmos a Millennium Falcon…

So, we bought hardware storage box of, customizable with different sized little boxes. And we've organized all the parts of the game. Thus, it is all together in a box and we can take with us to anywhere very easily!

We even assigned a little space for when we get the Millennium Falcon...

Para finalizar, porque eu gosto das coisas bonitas (além de funcionais), o home, que é designer gráfico, criou esta capa, a partir de uma imagem de uma x-wing. E porque eu gosto de washi tape, aí está ela a fazer o rebordo!

Finally, because I like pretty things (besides functional), the hubby, which is a graphic designer, created this poster, from an image of an x -wing . And because I like washi tape, there it is around the edge!
